Graphic Designer Extraordinaire

I've been in business for well over a year and have been remiss in acknowledging the person responsible for my Tartuga's Pond logo. As a matter of fact, this person just happens to be my daughter, Kari Lennox Gonsalves (recently married). So this is a heart-felt shout-out to Kari for her help and support in getting my new photographic fine art endeavor started. Currently employed as a Graphic Designer at CNN International, she is, in my opinion, a very talented graphic designer, illustrator, and multimedia artist. Lucky me.

Granted, I am a proud father and very prejudiced, but my background gives me some credibility to objectively judge her work. Besides , in her line of work, Kari wouldn't be where she is if she didn't have the talent to support the trust her succession of employers have had in her. Needless to say, I highly value her artistic opinion. Graduated with a BFA from the Graphic Design program at Georgia State University in 2010, she began her post-college working career as an Art Department Production Assistant on the CW network's popular "Vampire Diaries" television series, quickly taking over as their main Graphic Designer for Seasons 2 and 3. She left the "Vampire Diaries" to take a job as a freelance graphic designer at CNN International where she was eventually offered a position as a full-time designer.

Kari began her tenure at CNN International working mainly on title graphics that appear behind news anchors while they are doing their broadcast. Moving up the ladder, she currently works on a variety of projects creating opening animations for special programs. Check out her work at www.kariondesign.com and I think you will be impressed by what you see.

I am grateful to my daughter for making the time to create my logo, which I love. Kari was artistically gifted even as a little kid, displaying a talent for creative ideas and drawing at an early age. I am not at all surprised that she has ended up with a successful graphic design career, the respect of her friends and peers, and a happy marriage. Regardless of her artistic talent, I am grateful for who she is. She has always held a special place in my heart for the beautiful human being that she has always been. Love you, Kari.
